Milestone for CCEP landmark site

Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) is celebrating a major milestone for one of its sites as it marks 50 years of production

The Edmonton site joined CCEP’s GB manufacturing network in 1975 and to celebrate its 50th anniversary, colleagues came together to unveil a golden plaque.

The Edmonton site has played a central role in CCEP’s commitment to responsible manufacturing in the UK. Having used 100% renewable energy for more than 10 years, the site supports the company’s ambition to decarbonise the business and reach net-zero emissions by 2040.

COMMUNITY SPIRIT

Katie Hutt, GB Manufacturing Director, CCEP, said: “Edmonton has always been more than a manufacturing site; it’s a place with real community spirit. So many people have worked here for years, building friendships, passing on knowledge and taking pride in what they do every single day.

“As one of North London’s long-standing local businesses, we’re proud to play a part in the community – creating jobs, and supporting local causes and local people. That’s what we’re celebrating, not just 50 years of production but 50 years of people showing up with care and commitment. Looking ahead, it’s the energy and pride of this team that makes me excited for Edmonton’s next chapter.”

CCEP has committed to accelerate the decarbonisation of its business by reducing absolute greenhouse gas emissions across its entire value chain, including scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions. It has also set a path to become a net zero business by 2040 in alignment with a 1.5˚C pathway and the Paris Climate Agreement.
